Privacy Policy
Last updated: 01 January 2026
Azonova Tools are designed to be local-first. Most tools run entirely inside your browser and do not upload your files to our servers by default. This policy explains what data may be processed when you use the tools and the website.

1) Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Azonova (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our websites, Azonova Tools, applications, bots, and related services (together, the “Services”).
2) What we collect
A. Information you provide
- Contact/support data: information you submit via forms or support, such as name, email, and message content.
- Tool inputs: text you enter into tools (for example: invoice fields, QR payload text, template content). This typically stays in your browser unless you submit it through a form.
B. Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, language, pages viewed, and basic usage signals.
- Log & diagnostic data: performance and error signals to keep Services stable and secure.
- Approximate location: inferred from IP address (city/region level).
3) Azonova Tools (local-first processing)
Azonova Tools are primarily local-first tools. This means that when you use a tool (PDF, image, invoice, quote, PO, QR, converters), processing is intended to happen inside your browser.
- Files you pick (PDFs/images/spreadsheets) are processed locally by your browser unless a tool explicitly states otherwise.
- We do not require accounts to use tools, and most tools do not send your file contents to our servers.
- Exports (PDF/PNG/SVG) are generated in-browser and downloaded to your device.
- Exceptions: if a tool uses a third-party API (e.g., live currency rates), your request may be sent to that API provider to fetch results.
Important: Local-first does not mean “no data ever leaves your device.” Website analytics and certain API-backed features may send limited data (e.g., page view, tool open, or an API request for exchange rates).
4) Google Sheets integration & OAuth
Some Azonova Tools (for example, Attendance) can connect to your Google account so a Google Sheet can act as your database. We use Google Identity Services and the Google Sheets API to make this work.
- Scope requested: we request access to
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.fileso the tool can read/write only the sheets you select via the in-app Google Picker (or create inside the tool). - Data flow: your browser communicates directly with Google. We do not copy your sheet data to our servers.
- Use of data: Google Sheets data is used only to provide the tool features you request (no ads, no selling, no profiling).
- Tokens: OAuth access tokens are stored locally in your browser (for
example,
localStorage) so you stay connected until the token expires or you disconnect. - Sharing: we do not sell or share your Google Sheets data with third parties, except Google as the API provider.
- Revoking access: you can revoke access from your Google Account → Security → Third‑party access, or disconnect inside the tool.
Azonova’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5) Analytics & cookies (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics (GA4) on some pages to understand usage and improve the Services. Analytics may use cookies and/or similar browser storage.
- What GA may collect: pages visited, approximate location (from IP), device/browser info, referrer, and engagement signals.
- What we do not intend to send: your uploaded file contents from tools.
- Consent banner: some pages may show a cookie notice that records your
choice in localStorage (e.g.
azonova_cookies).
Google processes analytics data under its own policies. You can also control cookies via your browser settings and Google’s ad/analytics controls.
6) Event tracking (what we measure)
To measure what’s working and improve usability, we may track meaningful product events (not your file contents). Examples include:
- Page view / tool open (e.g., visiting
/tools/qr.html). - Navigation clicks (header/footer links) to understand how users discover tools.
- Tool actions such as “Generate”, “Convert”, “Export”, “Download”, “Print”, “Copy”, “Share” (tracked as event names and basic metadata like tool name).
- Errors (e.g., unsupported file type) to improve reliability.
We aim to avoid collecting sensitive content in analytics. Do not enter passwords, secret keys, or sensitive personal information into tool fields.
7) Contact forms & submissions
If you submit a form (for example, “Contact” / “Discuss a project”), we collect the information you provide and send it to our processing endpoint (for example, a Google Apps Script) which may store it in a private system such as a Google Sheet.
- Purpose: to respond to enquiries, provide quotes, and support requests.
- Anti-spam: we may use simple human checks and rate-limiting.
- Retention: enquiries may be retained as business records.
8) Payments (when enabled)
Some Azonova products or client projects may support payments (subscriptions, bookings, or digital services). Payments are processed by third-party payment providers.
- Payment credentials (e.g., card details) are typically handled by the payment provider.
- We may receive payment status, amount, currency, timestamps, and transaction IDs for receipts and support.
- We may use transaction metadata for fraud prevention and dispute handling.
9) How we share information
We may share limited information in these cases:
- Service providers: hosting/CDN, analytics, error monitoring, and email delivery.
- API providers: where you request a feature that requires third-party data (e.g., FX rates).
- Legal and safety: if required by law or to protect users and the Service.
- Business transfers: acquisition, merger, or asset transfer (subject to law).
10) Data retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here.
- Analytics: retained per provider defaults and our operational needs.
- Contact enquiries: retained for support and business records.
- Logs: retained for security and troubleshooting and rotated periodically.
11) Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
12) Your choices & rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, or objection. You can also control analytics/cookies through browser settings and platform controls.
- Cookies/localStorage: clear site data in your browser.
- Analytics: use browser controls, blocking extensions, or privacy settings.
- Form data requests: contact us to request access/correction/deletion (where applicable).
13) Third-party services
Our Services may link to or integrate third-party services (analytics, APIs, payments, messaging). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
14) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where feasible.
